WHO MADE BOTULINUM?

Botulinum toxin is a neurotoxin produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. It is not “made” in the traditional sense, but rather it is naturally produced by the bacteria as a byproduct of their metabolism. The toxin is one of the most potent known toxins and can cause a serious illness known as botulism. However, it has also found medical and cosmetic applications, such as in the treatment of certain medical conditions and in cosmetic procedures to reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
